About Gowme.travel

Norway is amazing – and also a bit of a puzzle. It's easy to end up with dozens of tabs, the same "top 10" lists, and no idea which places are actually worth your time.

Gowme.travel exists to make this simpler.

We're a small team based in Norway (operating as Gowme AS) and every place you see in our maps is either personally visited or manually researched and checked – not scraped or auto-generated.

Leading the way is Fluffy™, our knitted puffin with a red beanie and backpack, who has already "flown" all over Norway with us: from Lofoten and the fjords to remote corners in the north.

What you get today

Right now, Gowme.travel focuses on one thing and does it well:

  • A hand-picked collection of places in Norway – viewpoints, routes, walks, photo spots, towns and experiences.
  • All of them are curated by humans, based on real trips and careful research.
  • You receive them as a clean Google Maps / My Maps layer, so you can use it directly on your phone while travelling.

No endless lists, no guessing. Just a focused set of spots that actually make sense for a real trip.

Our main goals

As we keep growing Gowme.travel, we keep three simple goals in mind:

  1. Make it easier to find the most relevant places for you
Help you quickly see the spots that match your interests, instead of scrolling through generic recommendations.
  2. Help you save money and time
Share practical tips on where it's worth spending, where you can safely skip, and how not to waste days on the wrong detours or logistics.
  3. Offer fair partner deals for travel
Gradually introduce partner discounts and offers that genuinely add value to your trip, clearly marked and quality-checked.

Our motto is simple:

Travel more, pay less!

If you're a local business, experience provider or investor and want to understand how collaboration with Gowme.travel can work, you can read more on our Partners page.

Why Norway?

We decided to go deep, not wide.

Norway is where we live, travel and run our company. Distances are big, weather changes quickly, and planning "by Google" can easily lead to wasted days.

Because we are here on the ground, we can:

  • Judge what's realistic in a given number of days
  • See which places are truly worth a detour
  • Understand how a route feels in real life, not just on the map

How Gowme.travel fits into your trip

Fluffy™, your knitted guide

Fluffy isn't just a mascot – it's the friendly face that reminds us what Gowme.travel should always feel like:

  • Helpful, not pushy
  • Curious, not generic
  • Focused on your trip, not on selling you as many things as possible

Fluffy's mission is to guide you through Norway in a way that feels personal, smart and a bit playful – while still respecting your time and wallet.

Plan your Norway trip in one smart map

Fluffy™ Norway Trip Planner is built for one thing: turning a messy "somewhere in Norway" idea into a clear route you can actually follow. Tell Fluffy when you're traveling, who you're with, how active you want to be – and the planner curates a custom mix of fjords, viewpoints, easy walks and bigger adventures.

Whether you're starting with classic Oslo attractions and day trips from Oslo, flying to Bergen for some Bergen sightseeing, or chasing the northern lights around Tromsø, Bodø, Narvik or Alta, the planner connects it all into one route. Road-tripping through western Norway around Aurland, Gudvangen, Loen, Olden, Voss and Stryn? Hopping between islands in Lofoten – Svolvær, Leknes, Å i Lofoten, Henningsvær, Hamnøy? Or mixing cities like Stavanger, Trondheim, Kristiansand and Lillehammer with quiet fjord villages? Fluffy keeps the puzzle pieces in order.

After five quick steps, you get a personalized map of Norway with recommended places across northern, western and southern Norway – sent straight to Google Maps. Open it on your phone, tick off spots as you go, and adjust on the fly. You bring the curiosity; Fluffy brings the map.
